Revisiting old astrophotographies

In the December of 2020 I took several photos of the Andromeda Galaxy (M31) and the Orion Nebula (M42). These where my first astrophotographies, so I was pretty stunned by the results. Lately I was revisiting my process I used then and tried if I could improve the results with the same base material. No further photos where taken.

M31: Andromeda Galaxy (2021/02/13)

M31: Andromeda Galaxy (2022/06/10)

M42: Orion Nebula (2021/02/13)

M42: Orion Nebula (2022/06/10)

Conclusion

To revise the image processing was a really good idea. Even without flats, which I unfortunately didn’t take at that time, the results are far better than before.
